Peaceable Dragon is a consortium of instructors and students of the internal arts. It is a collaboration of expertise in a variety of styles of Qigong, Taijiquan, Yoga, Meditation and other Internal Arts.

Taiji Long Sword Sequence

Led by Brian Wallich, Peaceable Dragon’s Taiji Sword Sequence of movements requires focused attention and excellent coordination in order to sustain the timing and balance required for the sequence.  For this reason, the practice exercises the brain and increases brain power.

Qigong Sequence

Qigong enhances brain health by training the mind to direct the brain to emit low frequency alpha and theta neural signals with increased coherence between the left and right hemispheres. Similar to a conductor leading an orchestra, the mind controls the brain’s performance. Qigong practice morphs brainwaves to lower frequency coherence with the potential to unleash new rehabilitative potentials, such as trauma recovery.

Demos and Mini-classes

Each year for World Tai Chi and Qigong Day there are demonstrations of various forms of internal arts including Taijiquan (Tai Chi), Qigong (Chi Kung), and Taiji Long Sword. Following the demonstrations, attendees  participate in mini-classes taught by some of the area’s leading instructors from a variety of schools and disciplines. Since the event and its activities are free to all, demonstrations and mini-class instruction are purely on a volunteer basis – for the love of the event, the chance to share our arts with one another and the participants, and the fellowship and community that results.

As in years past, the first hour of the event (10am – 11am) is for approximately 9 demonstrations of various internal arts – roughly 5 to 7 minutes each. Demonstrations are followed by an hour and a half (11am -12:30pm) for 3 consecutive mini class sessions.  Each class session is 20 minutes.  You do NOT have to reach all 3 mini class sessions!  You may certainly express an interest in either demos or mini classes or both.  In past years we have had wonderful events showcasing a wide variety of forms and arts and hope to do the same this year.

Many thanks to those who have participated in …
